剛好昨天有同學問到 hit的用法，今天又有相似的新聞喔！我們真是太幸運了！

這部關於一個叫做Caine的九歲小男孩用紙板做成的遊戲場的十一分鐘紀錄片，真是讓人感動捏！

看不懂影片的同學，可以先看一下新聞內容，比較瞭解相關背景知識。

If this 11-minute 6) documentary about a 9-year-old named Caine doesn’t 7)restore (or strengthen) your faith in humanity, it’s going to be a long day.

Working out of his dad’s used auto parts shop in East LA, Caine built his own arcade full of games made from cardboard over the summer. Dutifully staffing the arcade by himself each weekend, Caine finally landed his first customer, 8) filmmaker Nirvan Mullick.

段落大意：整個夏天Caine利用他爸爸的二手汽車零件部的紙箱，建造了自己的紙板遊戲場。結果第一位顧客就是影片製作人Nirvan Mullick.

Mullick was presented with two options: a 9) $1 pass good for four games, or the $2 “Fun Pass” good for 500 plays. He opted for the Fun Pass, of course. “I was blown away,” said Mullick. “Caine’s only sold one Fun Pass? The Fun Pass is an 10) awesome deal.”

段落大意：Mullick有兩種選擇，花一元玩四樣遊戲，兩元可以玩五百次(fun pass)。當然他完了五百次。Mullick沒想到Caine只賣出過一次超棒的(awesome deal, 超棒的買賣) fun pass.

1) We Came to Play!          是這個爆紅影片的名稱—我們來這裡玩！

2) Self-Built               adj    自製的。 另一個常見的是DIY(Do it your self)

3) Cardboard             n.      厚紙板，這裡指的是紙箱 。 國外有許多硬紙板做成的遊戲（紙牌遊戲或大富翁之類）就叫做board Game.

4) Arcade                   n.      遊戲廊，就是一般講的電動玩具/遊戲機場。

5) Hits the Big Time          紅透半邊天

6) documentary       n.      紀錄片

7) restore                  V      Store+ back, 恢復。這裡指的是恢復對人性(humanity)的信心

8) filmmaker            n.      製片人

9) $1 pass             n.      一元通行證。Pass 指的是通行證，國外常用(捷運、博物館都有），one-day pass, 一日進出無限次數。One-week pass. 一週無限次數盡出。現在捷運局也有類似的pass. 這個新聞裡還有一個是fun pass, 兩元可以玩五百次。

10) awesome deal  n.      超棒的買賣/交易，也像是great bargain 的用法。
