 1.柯林頓出場為歐巴馬抬轎

繼Michelle Obama之後，Clinton出場，誠如Ray在上一則給大家的美國選戰update所言，柯林頓是為了未來鋪路。(他與歐巴馬的嫌隙主要在經濟上，以前課堂有討論過)。

 “We 1)Democrats, we think the country works better with a strong 2)middle class, for real opportunity for poor people to 3)work into it,” former President Bill Clinton said. “You see we believe we are all in this together is far better philosophy than you are on your own."  你不是孤獨奮戰，我們都是同在這一條船上。

2.奇怪的案件？

About 7 p.m. last Thursday, members of the Williamson County Democratic Party returned to their offices inFranklin,Tenn., for a meeting, and found a padded manila envelope that had been dropped through the mail slot. Inside was a small USB drive and a piece of paper containing an outlandish claim: Tax documents belonging to Mitt and Ann Romney had been stolen.

有人丟了包裹在民主黨的一個分支辦公室。裡面是一個小的USB，裡面有著Romney夫婦被偷的稅務資料。

Peter Burr, the chairman of the Williamson County Democratic Party, said he thought the package was “obviously a 6)scam.” 這個分支的負責人認為，這一定是一個騙局。

“We did not 7)plug the thumb drive into anything,” Burr told TPM. “I almost threw this thing away when we got it.” 我們不打算進一步去瞭解/有任何動作。我幾乎再一拿到時就想扔了。

可能有同學不是很熟悉這個影集。The Middle 有許多意思，在這個影集字面上是中西部，路的中間，前不著村後不著店。因此第一季第一集就是這個畫面。但後來的內容則是指中產階級為了過日子，帳單如山高，挖這補那的故事。非常貼近中產階級的實際生活，因此在美國很受歡迎。貼近美國選戰的路線！
