Volatility in Taiwan's stock market may continue for a while, due to lingering uncertainties over the stock capital gains tax, analysts said yesterday.

分析師說由於證所稅的不確定，台股持續震盪。

On Friday, the 5)TAIEX closed at 7,480.5, down 40.85 points.

While the 6)Executive Yuan has finalized its 7)capital gains tax bill, it is set to meet resistance and opposition in the Legislative Yuan, where several legislators have proposed their own versions of the legislation. The nation's 8)securities trade association, meanwhile, has threatened to hold protests against the bill, which they said would contribute to dwindling trade volume in the market, which in turn would threaten their jobs.

當行政院證所稅版本定案，準備送到立法院迎接反對的聲音，許多立委已經提出了自己的修正看法。另一方面，證券商業同業公會已揚言要對法案提出抗議，因為這樣會造成交易量的減少，對他們的工作造成危害。
